01Soul Urge: your inner voice
Your Soul Urge Number comes from the vowels A, E, I, O and U in your name. It points to what your heart really wants, the things that make life feel worth living even when nobody else can see them.
Example: EMILY ROSE JOHNSON
- Vowels: E (5), I (9), O (6), E (5), O (6), O (6)
- Total: 5 + 9 + 6 + 5 + 6 + 6 = 37 → 3 + 7 = 10 → 1 + 0 = 1
= Soul Urge 1: a longing to be your own person and choose your own path
Did you know?
The free calculator on this site always counts Y as a consonant, so it is never added to the Soul Urge.
02Personality: the impression you leave
Your Personality Number comes from the consonants. It's the coat you wear when you go out: people who've just met you usually sense this number first, before they get to know the person inside.
Example: EMILY ROSE JOHNSON
- Consonants: M (4), L (3), Y (7), R (9), S (1), J (1), H (8), N (5), S (1), N (5)
- Total: 44 → 4 + 4 = 8
= Personality 8: others see you as capable, confident and in charge
03When the inside and the outside differ
Emily longs to run her own life (Soul Urge 1), while other people see someone capable and in control (Personality 8). From the outside the two can look alike, but the gap between them is wide: people may assume she's chasing status or wants to be in charge, when what she really wants is the freedom to choose her own way. A gap like this explains why some people often feel misunderstood. The report measures it with the Soul Urge–Personality Bridge, which is 7 for Emily.
