01The pyramid of a lifetime
Life is divided into four stages. Each stage has a Pinnacle number (the standout opportunity) and a Challenge number (the lesson to work through). The first stage runs from birth to age 36 minus your Life Path (reduced to a single digit); each of the next three lasts nine years.
02How to calculate them
- Reduce your birth month (M), day (D) and year (Y) to a single digit each.
- Pinnacle 1 = M + D · Pinnacle 2 = D + Y · Pinnacle 3 = Pinnacle 1 + Pinnacle 2 · Pinnacle 4 = M + Y (reduced).
- Challenge 1 = |M − D| · Challenge 2 = |D − Y| · Challenge 3 = |Challenge 1 − Challenge 2| · Challenge 4 = |M − Y|.
Example: 15 August 1994 (Life Path 10 → 1)
- M = 8, D = 6, Y = 5 · The first stage runs to age 36 − 1 = 35
- Ages 0–35: Pinnacle 5 (8 + 6 = 14 → 5), Challenge 2
- Ages 36–44: Pinnacle 2 (6 + 5 = 11 → 2), Challenge 1
- Ages 45–53: Pinnacle 7 (5 + 2 = 7), Challenge 1
- Age 54 onward: Pinnacle 4 (8 + 5 = 13 → 4), Challenge 3
= Emily is 32, in the later years of her first Pinnacle (5, Challenge 2), which runs to age 35, an age she reaches in 2029
